Hi Everyone, (Pics in the gallery – click here)
what an exciting weekend of paintball! Saturday the 7th May 2011 set the stage for the 18 RPL Open Division teams to get their game faces on and show their mettle at Nova Paintball field in Pretoria. The slightly more technical field layout meant that players needed to think fast and and move just as fast to rack up the wins. Games were generally very quick, and it still remains a fact that the level of play in the Open division is getting better and better. We were treated to all sorts of amazing games and tactics by the teams as well as the most spectacular fail bail I have ever seen in paintball EVER by one of the players from team Kaotic. I really hope the guys from Corrosion who were on the scene to catch it on video will upload the clip for all of us to see. I’m serious, we thought this oke snapped his neck!
The RPL also introduced a new challenge on Saturday for the fastest game time, which earns that team free entry for the next tournament was first set by the Werewolves with 24seconds, and then beaten in the last few rounds of the day by team Paint Job with a winning time of 23 Seconds, only 1 second faster! Well done guys! Then, thanks to team EspirE, another fun challenge was introduced to the day, where as many players get placed on either side of the field as are willing to take part, I stand under correction but I think we had 14 vs 14 on a 3-Man field! Insane!

Hi Everyone!
Another resounding success and a great day of paintball!
Event 6 saw some newcomers once again entering the tournament and shaking things up! Team Assault and Team Revolution, absolute new players to the league showed up and gave some of the seasons’ top teams a very good run for their money during Sunday’s games, and even ended up needing to play a tie breaker against each other for the rights to 3rd and 4th place!
Team Unanimous came to the tournament fully focused and put on their game faces to once again dominate the Open division and take a convincing first place, with a well deserved second place going to the Killabeez.
The A division played a double round robin format getting to play each team twice, and saw the Midnight Spitfires come out on top after a Tie breaking match between them and the Royal Spitfires for 1st and 2nd place. 3rd and 4th place were taken by the Emortals and Triple Concept respectively.

The fastest game of the day was snatched up by Team EspirE with Stephen Coskey doing an awesome run through and eliminating all opponents in 14 seconds! Stephen was also the winner of our lucky draw prize of a two piece Furious Barrel kindly sponsored by Furious Paintball USA.
Unfortunately we did not have a photographer on site for official photos at event 6, and hopefully the people who were taking photos on the day will be kind enough to post them to our Nova Paintball Facebook page.

Hi Everyone!
Once again I think we can all be proud of a very well attended and successful 3-Man tournament! 19 teams plus reserves and guests made for a rather busy Nova Paintball facility this weekend! As promised the shift from the Nova 3-man to the RPL will be as seamless as possible, and Event 4 proved that as long as everyone is willing to add a bit of understanding to the mix, everything is possible.
