The SARPL is excited to announce that the SARPL and CTPL (Cape Town Paintball League) decided to merge. The CTPL and its players/teams will now become part of the SARPL and will be known as the SARPL Western Cape.
Leon Foulkes and current players/teams in the CTPL agreed, after a meeting held, to join forces with the SARPL to help take paintball to the next level in South Africa.
Western Cape Players can already start to register as SARPL players/members on the APPA website – www.paintball-players.org.
This system will be used, like currently in Gauteng, to organize events, manage player classifications, scoring and more. The system the SARPL use, is the same as the system used for the PSP World Cup and other PSP affiliated leagues and events.
Players/Teams playing in any of the SARPL regional 5-man events will also be listed on the PSP World Ranking System with teams playing world wide in the same divisions. This is a great opportunity for players to see where they rank on a international level and will also give more visible exposure to teams in South Africa as well as additional exposure to team sponsors.
Current SARPL 5-man teams that competed in at least 1 event during 2012 are already listed on this World Ranking System – Paintball Access Website – Rankings
We welcome the Western Cape to the SARPL family and we are looking forward to great events coming soon to the Western Cape and across South Africa!
